Episode 2 "A Spectre's Past"

Years ago, before the deaths of Thomas and Martha Wayne, a young Bruce Wayne played outside Wayne Manor as he fell down a well. He landed hard on the ground to see that he was inside a cave. Looking into the darkness, bats flew towards him. Bruce screamed out as his father, Thomas, came to save him. In the present day, Bruce Wayne is putting down a rope through the same well and climbs down. He follows the cave system to find a gigantic cave. There, he sets up a table with a computer, wi-fi, and a police radio. Alfred walks down and asks why Bruce has all the equipment in a cave instead of the manor which has far much more room than Bruce would ever need. Bruce explains it is because he still needs to be Bruce Wayne and he can't let someone accidentally find everything. 

At the GCPD, Jim Gordon and Arnold Flass are told by commissioner Loeb that there is a new case. A police detective named Jim Corrigan has gone rogue to stop a criminal gang. They decide to take the case as Flass asks Harvey Bullock if he can help with his contact. The three go to a club where they meet Fish Mooney. Harvey and Fish know each other and because of that, she gives them information. Jim also meets Fish's assistant, Oswald Cobblepot. Flass and Bullock learn Corrigan was at the club earlier but left saying he was gonna kill everyone. 

Meanwhile, Bruce is creating a suit. He grabs grey cargo pants, a grey shirt, gold belt, and purple gloves. To this, Bruce wears a ski mask as he goes out. With this gear, Bruce patrols Gotham and runs into two men trying to rob a woman. He is able to beat them but he is cut in the arm doing so. 

Arnold Flass and Jim Gordon find Jim Corrigan. Corrigan explains the gang is in the building and hasn't seen him yet. Jim tries to tell Corrigan that they can get out of there and fix things. By the book. But Corrigan refuses. Saying they need to pay. As Gordon keeps talking to Corrigan, Flass shoots a member of the gang. A big shootout starts leading to Flass shooting Corrigan in the stomach. Gordon shouts at Flass but Corrigan survives. Instead of calling backup or taking Corrigan out of there, Flass gets in the car and forces Gordon to get in. They then drive away. Jim looks back to see Corrigan being killed by the gang members. 

Back at the police department, Flass tells Loeb that Corrigan is dealt with. But Gordon is furious. He yells at Flass that what he did was wrong but Flass only says he tried to save Corrigan but failed. That's what the report will say at least.
